These ball-of-foot cushions are designed to provide extra comfort and shock absorption for the metatarsal area.  Sorbothane is a specially-engineered material which absorbs up to 94.7% of impact shock with each step, then springs back to cushion the next step.  Each cushion measures approximately 3" across at the widest point by about 4-1/4" long at the longest point.  The thickness is approximately 1/16", so they are thin enough to fit into almost any shoe.  The top cover is made of Cambrelle (R) for anti-microbial moisture management.  The bottom of the cushion clings to the insole of your shoe.

The only thing we haven't figured out about these is why the manufacturer designs the packaging marked "Designed for Women."  We have many male customers who enjoy the added comfort these cushions provide!  The measurements are similar to many unisex metatarsal cushions - so we consider these to be a suitable product for unisex use as well!
